P2: Create concept documentations or designs
P3: Produce pre-production materials
I chose to go with brief number 4 which is as follows:
"A trailer for a local independent film about homelessness, mental health problems or drug abuse that will be screened as part of the Soundlines festival. The film trailer will feature content suitable for an audience of teenagers/young professionals."

Below is a mind map that I made with the ideas I had for the brief I went with.
Below I have attached a moodboard for how I want my film trailer to look.
I have included images that invoke a feeling of poverty, violence and substance abuse. I think that this moodboard reflects my genre and it's conventions quite well as I will be making a social-realism film. This genre of film tends to be quite "grimy" and grey in it's appearance and I hope to invoke the same kind of feeling in order to make sure that my target audience will be receptive toward my final product.
Below I have included my gantt chart/production schedule
Below I have attached a shot list for the production of my film trailer. I decided to include a shot list rather than a script as I am creating a trailer which would otherwise already have a whole movie behind it. I think that by creating a script for this film trailer I would make it seem too planned out and it would have too clear of a narrative. This would cause the trailer to seem unnatural and it wouldn't be following any of the codes and conventions of a trailer. By using a shot list instead I am able to make the trailer seem like there is more of a story behind it as I will be able to have more freedom when editing and reviewing the finished product.
Below I have attached a copy of my risk assessment.
Below I have attached my storyboard for the film trailer.
Below is my location recce.
Location recce considerations:
- Transport and parking:
- Space to film:
- Power source:
- Hazards:
- Lighting:
- The public:
