Filming set up
Above is an image of how the tripod is set up. The camera then slides in on the top mount with a mounted base which is screwed into it

Here are the on screen settings which must be set up for the camera, no added lighting, large file format and auto focus mode.

Conventions of promotional videos:
The conventions I used for this promotional video originated from other trailers and promotional videos. These are the following conventions
Comparison to my original idea.
I think that the audio-visual product that I ended up with is not far off what I had originally anticipated to create. This can be seen through how closely I followed my storyboard and script. I think that what I changed mainly related to the editing process where I had changed the length of the features shots compared to the length that they were originally going to be played at. I did this because the video time was specifically mentioned in the brief and previously I had wrongly calculated the total running time which ended up not fulfilling the one listed in the brief. I think that the script was also utilised to it's fullest and not a single change was made within it. I think I followed my conventions in the pre-production materials and my original idea and therefore my final and finished product did not vary greatly from what I had originally come up with. All in all I believe that the people who had set out my brief would be very pleased with the final, professional result.
