Final Edit
I believe that my final piece suits the target audience I was given as well as the judges from the culture awards. I think this is because my video turned out very cinematic and, within reason, professional. The video has an inspiring note to it in the form of the voice over which is aimed to inspire those watching to come to Cambridge. My video features various cultural pillars of Cambridge which it is known for. These include Mill Road which is known to be a mixing pot of various culture and ethnicity. I showed the road and it's various foreign shops and markets alongside known English businesses in order to show that Cambridge is a welcoming place for everyone.
If asked what I think went well in the video I would say that the voice over and it's script was probably the best part about it as it appears to be the most professionally done of all and resulted in a great outcome. I feel that the voice-over matches the shots in the video and the video is edited alongside the voice over to make it seem more professional and free flowing. The music used is classical and slow which goes along well with the script for the voice-over which is also quite formal as well as the general formal and academic feel of the video and of the city itself. If I were to improve anything when it comes to editing I would make some shots longer to allow the dialogue to have more of a pause and impact rather than rushing into speaking more.
If I was assigned the task of doing this unit again I would definitely plan to shoot more shots. This is because I feel the video is too short and when put alongside the dialogue it can, at times, seem rushed. I would also definitely include a shot of a mosque or another place of worship other than the church in order to signify the diversity in the Cambridge however this was impossible due to unforeseen circumstances and instead I had to use another shot of a church to substitute for the planned shot of the mosque. I would also include more text on screen rather than just the title. For example some things the voice-over dialogue says I think I would put some of it on screen in a cinematic way to make it even more impactful and to make it stand out more over the visual story telling.

When exporting my video, if I were doing it in the professional world of media, I would export it in various file sizes and formats as the Cambridge City Council could use the video for various purposes and therefor require different sizes and qualities. I would firstly send them the highest and most uncompressed quality video so that it can be displayed on a big screen at the culture awards where quality will play an integral part to its success. I would also choose to send them a mid quality piece as well as a low quality piece in case they'd want to feature it on their website or on a video streaming site where small size is important for the users to be able to watch it promptly without having to wait a long time for it to load.
I chose the H.264 format because the file size is impressively low and it doesn't much quality in the 1920x1080 resolution in which the video was filmed and exported. This is what you see on my blog and it doesn't vary from the larger file formats in quality and even to the point that it does, YouTube compresses files and the quality would be lost either way. If the Cambridge city council decided to post the video onto Facebook in order to link it to their site then this is the file format they would use as it is small and would be uploaded and streamed fast by the user in full resolution which is important as an audience is impatient when it comes to buffering.
If the Cambridge City Council wanted to send out an export of the video I would suggest they use a file format like the Uncompressed 8-bit 4:2:2 as it is the largest file where non of the images or sound are compressed in anyway. The size of the file would in that case be too large to use on a website like YouTube without complications but it would look the best out of any file formats if displayed on the big screen.
