The interview
Questions I asked and why I asked them.
First Question: Tell me about your charity and what it does?
Reason behind asking the first question: I asked this question so that the interviewee had the chance to introduce their organisation to the audience to minimise confusion and allow the audience to get a good idea of what the charity is responsible for. It allows the interviewee to give his organisation some publicity and brand recognition.
Second Question: What do you think is the leading cause of homelessness?
Reason behind asking the second question: I asked this question to clarify my secondary research that related to this question as well as to inform the fairly young audience of the real causes of homelessness and in order to break down any stereotypes about the causes of homelessness such as drug or alcohol abuse which shouldn't be used to generalise most causes of homelessness
Third Question: Why do you think there are so many families in temporary housing?
Reason behind asking the third question: I asked this question to find out what exactly the interviewee thought the main cause of homelessness really was as his insight may be more factual as he works with homeless people closely and sees and speaks to them on a daily basis.
Fourth Question: What can the public to do help?
Reasons behind asking the third question: I asked this question because I wanted the interviewee to instruct and give example to how young people watching the article can make a realistic difference. I also asked because I had expected the answer to be quite surprisingly simple and obvious yet not thought about by some people who may forget that they can so easily have an impact.
